This message is one of the hardest I’ve had to write, but after months of reflection and trying absolutely everything I could, I’ve had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life.
Dear Lily is officially closing down, and we are beginning the process effective immediately.
For three years I have poured my heart, energy and passion into this dream of mine. Being a small business owner has been the most rewarding and challenging chapter of my life. Although we didn’t reach the outcome we hoped for, I’m choosing to see this moment clearly and honour the journey it has been.
Our recent move felt full of hope, but the continued challenges in retail have made things increasingly difficult. After doing everything possible to keep pushing forward, it became clear that it was time to make this decision before heading into a new year.
To my staff — past and present — thank you.
You have been the heart of Dear Lily. Your support, loyalty, creativity and friendship mean more to me than words can say. You helped shape this store into something truly special.
To our suppliers — thank you, truly, for your kindness, patience and understanding. Your support, guidance and generosity over the years have meant the absolute world.
To our customers and community: thank you for showing up for us, for choosing to shop with us, for cheering us on, and for believing in Dear Lily from day one.

This chapter has taught me so much, and even though it’s incredibly hard to say goodbye, I’m grateful for every lesson, every moment and every person I’ve met through this journey.
