I’m Lindsey and I am an experimental archaeologist and public historian. I’m a lifelong learner and passionate about immersive, empathetic studies of the historical past. I have spent the past decade working in living history museums in the United States of America, and now make my home in Wellington, New Zealand.

I am passionate about bringing history to life and helping you connect with the past in a meaningful way. I'm most interested in what I call whole-person history, where I put more emphasis into what it was actually like to live in the past – clothing, food, pop culture, comedy, art, and particularly the choices people make. I take particular interest in under-told stories: those historical figures whose names you’ve never heard of, but are a lot more relatable and relevant than you’ve ever imagined.
