A little honesty about handmade pricing…
I get asked sometimes why handmade pieces cost more than the $20–$30 items in big stores — and honestly, I get why it seems that way. But here’s what most people don’t see:
🪡 Handmade means real human hands
Every cut, stitch, detail and finish is done slowly and intentionally by one person. No machines. No shortcuts. It takes hours — sometimes days.
🌸Quality materials cost more
Small makers choose safe, durable, beautiful materials… not the cheapest option. Better materials = better products that last.
⏱️⏱️Time is the biggest cost
If we charged for every hour we put in, most handmade items would be double or triple the price. Most of us don’t — we try to keep things accessible.
📚You’re paying for skill + years of learning
Behind every piece is experience, practice, and craftsmanship. That’s part of the value too.
🌈 Every item is unique
No two pieces are identical. Handmade has personality, story, and heart — not mass‑produced sameness.
💛 Handmade is ethical + small‑scale
No factories. Just real people juggling life, kids, creativity, and passion.
🎁 Handmade is made to be loved
These aren’t “just products.” They’re keepsakes, gifts, memories, and pieces made with intention.
The real value of handmade
You’re choosing quality, story, and magic — and that’s worth every cent.
If you can’t purchase, that’s totally okay — liking, sharing, commenting, or telling someone about a small maker helps more than you know. Thank you for being here 💛
