Hey Fred Fred fam. Firstly how's the weather and sports team we follow?
Secondly, I need to say - sadly I have decided with the current climate (isn't that a fun phrase) and all the joys and insanity of frozen shipping I can't continue Fred Fred. Which sucks but hey we tried.
I also want to say a very very very heartfelt thank you to all of you that supported me in making this become a thing. There have been so many of you that have helped me in so many ways and I am beyond grateful x
I have made hundreds and hundreds of portions of baby food and I am truly honoured you trusted me to look after your small people, it meant the world. I dearly believe in the importance of good food for small people and I'm sorry this just didn't work, but we got into lovely local stores, 9 new worlds, won an award, so there's that x

Fred was 6mths(ish) when I started making baby food and this was him this week. Time flies huh.
Anyway thank you thank you and thank you.

The humble pumpkin!
Pumpkin is so great for soups, dips, spiced lattes (if you are American) and babies.

Pumpkins are often used for first foods because they are;
- An AWESOME source of fibre
- A GREAT source of calcium and beta-carotene
- Full of LOTS of good vitamins like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, plant based iron and folate

PLUS they are a really neat colour and small people like colour. Pumpkin is pretty cheap over the winter months and you can prepare it in different ways;
- Roasted
- Steamed
- Boiled

You can then add it to heaps of stuff;
- Porridge
- Smoothies
- Soups
Or just have it on its own with some good fats like coconut oil ghee, butter or olive oil.

We heart pumpkin and picked it to feature in our The Mixed One.

Kia Ora! My name is Skye and I thought I better introduce myself (from a safe and not too close up photo distance). Here are some oh so very interesting facts about me:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I grew up in the bustling metropolis of Timaru⠀
- I have always loved writing, in fact I used to make newspapers for my parents (what a cool kid) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I have always had a desire to do big things⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I have collected a few qualifications over the years - but they all have the same theme - people, development and health. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I ADORE coffee, gin, jersey dresses and sarcasm⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I have never been as tired as I have been with a small person⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I moved to Ōtepoti 3months pregnant with actual Fred who I weirdly referred to as Fred through the whole pregnancy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- We didn't have any other name options so that worked out well⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Jed and I weren't 100% on how to properly spell Frederick when he was born so we looked out the window from Dunedin hospital for clarification (its on Frederick street)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I am obsessed with food and I want to make feeding your small human easier so that is why I started Fred Fred⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- I also really miss my Tamagotchi I had in the late 90s -parenting was so much easier then.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
