Back into my 1980s squares and cables jumper. This one is for me and will be entered into the Hawke's Bay Show in October. I knitted this pattern back in the day and can't think why I gave that jumper away.

Bex Hulands kindly shared the pattern with me and I got the beautifully soft, emerald green wool from the Skeinz sale in October. It was just NZ$50 for 2 kilos.

First sleeve finished and now, I'm onto the front. This is going to be a stunning set once finished. There can't be another like this as I can't imagine a machine could make and hook the chain that shapes the ribbing gathers.

How lucky was I scoring 2 kilos of 3 ply that's ideal for this project?

I've started kitting up the 1931 bathing suit for February Deco. These are the colours the Australian pattern calls for and I can't wait to get started.
The pic is really unclear and I tried using Chatgpt to sharpen it without success so it's a bit of a mystery knit. Green is the main colour with stripes and shapes in the other colours.

Green and yellow Urban Sport from Skeinz (years ago), white Flight also from Skeinz and the sunning red and blue Opal sock yarn from Ashford Wheels and Looms

As expected, I cast off the back of the jumper and have started the front. This project is taking longer and I had hoped to be wearing the twinset next weekend. At the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to finish the jumper by then.
So much got put on hold for last weekend and now I have a lot of catching up to do with my cemetery research.
