Doesn't the Nelson MP, Nick Smith, look good with them on?

Love green enterprises that reuse waste for new products. At Nelson market today with Nayland College students and mentor Frank Witowski modelling their sustainable lifestyle footwear made of upcycled car tyres.

Attyr Company work closely with Jack’s Tyres in Richmond and Korkers Sandals in Hamilton to produce a sandal that is durable, stylish, sustainable and made entirely in NZ. We produce millions of waste tyres each year and need to find as many different uses as poss.

One of my major initiatives in Govt was with Golden Bay Cement and providing grant of $15 million to reuse millions of tyres to make cement. Due to open in next few months. But still need other uses like sandals to offset waste tyres.

Meet the Team!!!

We are Year 13 students from Nayland college based in Nelson. We are taking part of a Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). Our company is dedicated to make a difference. Our mission is to give another life and value to used tyres by producing a sustainable sandal that will last for a reasonable amount of time.
