An inspiring evening for International Women’s Day.

I felt very honoured to be invited to be part of a local showcase of women in business yesterday evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many talented women in our community and to share a little of what I do through Lily and Sage.

A heartfelt thank you to Della, who organised the entire event in such a short space of time. It was beautifully put together.

We also heard from two incredibly brave women who shared deeply personal stories of resilience and overcoming adversity. Their honesty and courage left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.

Thank you as well to the wonderful ladies who catered the evening and helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of the strength, support, and inspiration that can exist when women come together.

✨ Event Update – Richmond Showcase ✨

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to postpone the upcoming Richmond showcase.

As much as I was looking forward to it, I want every Lily and Sage event to feel beautifully curated, well-stocked, and genuinely special — and right now I know I can give it even more time and care.

Rather than rushing, I’m choosing to focus on finishing current orders, building new pieces, and continuing to grow behind the scenes so that when we gather later in the year, it’s truly worth the wait.

I’m now planning a Spring/Summer showcase in November, and an Autumn/Winter event in April next year — and I cannot wait to share what’s coming.

Thank you so much for your continued support. This is just the beginning. 🤍

Join me for a warm, interactive evening where I’ll demonstrate how sleeves, necklines and proportions can be thoughtfully adapted to suit your unique shape and personal style.

If you’ve ever struggled to find garments that truly feel like you, this evening will give you a beautiful insight into the custom design process.

On the night, you’ll explore:

✨ Natural fabric options (Tier 1, 2 & 3)
✨ How different sleeves and necklines change a garment
✨ The Lily and Sage made-to-measure approach
✨ Live demonstrations and styling guidance

You’ll be welcomed with a cold drink on arrival. After the demonstration, enjoy light refreshments while you mingle, explore the samples, and ask questions.

Today’s sketches are all about sleeves ✨

Starting with the same base dress, I’ve been playing with different sleeve options — bishop, flounce, sheared cuff, butterfly, puff, and tulip — all designed to be adapted to different arm sizes and preferences.

Small changes like this can completely change how a dress feels to wear, and that’s where the magic is for me.

A heartfelt thank you 🤍

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to last Saturday’s Lily and Sage launch.

To those who showed up, tried things on, asked thoughtful questions, shared kind words, and genuinely got what I’m trying to create — I’m so grateful.
And to the friends and helpers who made the day run smoothly, thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.

The response reminded me why I do this in the first place:
making clothing that feels comfortable, considered, and adaptable to real women and real lives.

If you couldn’t make it this time, I’ll be hosting another event on Saturday, March 7.
It won’t be a launch — instead, it will be a more intimate, indoor event focused on how the designs can be modified and personalised to suit different bodies, styles, and preferences.

More details soon — but for now, thank you again for the encouragement and support. It means more than you know 🤍

A heartfelt thank you

A very special thank you to Nicola at Thelma House for so generously opening her beautiful private garden to us for the Lily and Sage launch.

The setting was absolutely stunning and created the most relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for the day. We were so grateful for the opportunity to share our work in such a thoughtful and beautifully cared-for space.

I would highly recommend this garden to anyone looking for a unique and elegant setting for a small outdoor gathering or event.
