Lempi dress is made of soft laundered linen. This dress is cut to skim the body in all the right places. The sleeves are softly gathered to a cuff; the dress has an invisible zip closure at the back.

Lempi means favourite or love in Finnish.

Available in red, sizes Medium, Large and Extra Large.

Kuje is a loose fitting two-tone linen dress that you can wear on its own or over a t-shirt. The style features a deep box-pleat at the back and side seam pockets (yes, pockets, yay!).

Kuje is a feel-good Finnish word that translates to equally wonderful English. Try: tomfoolery, shenanigan, lark, caper or jest. In other words, this is a dress for relaxed, good times.

Available is sizes Small and Medium and Large.

Swings and roundabouts, that's how life goes. The Saturday Market feels like the heartbeat of Nelson and it's been a wonderful experience to meet customers face to face. This summer having a regular stall on the market has been a grand family effort and this is as far as we could stretch. While I'll carry on with dressmaking and spinning new plans for a different kind of presence in town, It's time to say a big thanks to Nita and the team, and my unforgettably wonderful market buddies Vickie, Xavier, Jude, Esther, Sue, Andrew and Patricia. You've been super supportive and just a really good bunch ❤️❤️❤️

It doesn’t get much more traditional than this: I’m working on a dress for a mother of the bride. As we still work towards a world that is fair and just for everybody, I hope we can take pleasure in celebrating in all the roles we carry as women.

Friends and followers from afar, this week our Nelson Tasman region has been in flames for several days. Many people have had to leave their homes and the rest are worried for friends and family. The bitter smoke creates beautiful red sunsets as the helicopters head home for the night while fire crews on the ground keep going. The last good rain came at Christmas and ever since the sun has treated us to warm water to swim in, but also dangerously dry hillsides. Stay safe everyone.

The fire in Nelson City has flared up again and is moving fast. Meanwhile, the Pigeon Valley fire has grown and Wakefield residents have been ordered to evacuate.
