A nice little score today! We managed to pick up this pair of Honey Glaze mugs, and they don't seem to turn up all that often these days.

The warm brown honey glaze and bold floral design are pure 1970s, and they have that unmistakable retro charm that so many people love. They're in great condition and would make a perfect addition to a collection, or simply become your new favourite coffee mug.

When we come across pieces like these, we always try to grab them. They're getting harder to find and they're always popular with lovers of New Zealand pottery and vintage kitchenware.

These two will be heading out onto the shelves soon, ready for someone to give them a new home.

Another 4 boxes unpacked yesterday, with maybe only 2 left to go from last month's big haul. It's been a mammoth effort, but we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

Once those are done, it's onto all the bits and pieces that have quietly accumulated out the back over time. Every time something interesting came in, it got tucked away for "later"... and now later has arrived! I reckon there's another few boxes' worth waiting to make their way onto the shelves.

But for now... it's tea towels and all the other little treasures! Plenty of fresh stock heading out, so keep an eye on the shelves over the next few weeks. You never know what you'll find at Venerable Vintage.

Back into it for another weekend! We're slowly getting to the end of the big haul from a few weeks ago, but there's still plenty to unpack. As always it's a real mixed bag, which is half the fun.

In the meantime, here's a look at the glass shelves. Lots of striking red glass in all shapes and sizes, from elegant vases to stemware, along with plenty of colourful vintage pieces tucked throughout the display. Whether you're after a statement piece or just something a little different, there's always something new to discover.

We're open Saturday & Sunday, 10am–4pm. Pop in for a browse—you never know what you might find.

End of the week is almost here again! Just a reminder that we won't be open on Friday this week. Hopefully we'll be back to our normal hours next week, but for now we're open Saturday & Sunday, 10am–4pm.

We've also got a few pieces of Crown Lynn Pampas heading out onto the shelves this weekend. To keep things simple, we're selling them in sets of six: • Dinner plates • Lunch plates • Bowls

If you've been looking to add to your Pampas collection or start one, make sure you pop in this weekend before they're snapped up.

Just been sorting through the silverware today – mostly EPNS, along with one boxed stainless steel set.

It's hard to tell what's been used and what hasn't, but at least two of the sets appear to be unused. If the others have seen any use at all, it's been very little.

They're all in their original boxes. Yes, there's a bit of tarnishing here and there, but that's just part of owning vintage silverware. A little polish and the new owner will have them looking fantastic again.

Everything is priced and ready to head out onto the shelves this weekend.

Getting through the final bits of the big haul, and there's still plenty to unpack. Tonight was boxed cutlery sets and glassware sets.

This Harper No. 3181 "Beatrice" Food Mincer turned up though. It's still in its original box and has obviously seen a bit of use over the years, but it's complete and ready for many more. These old hand mincers are becoming increasingly popular, whether they're put back to work in the kitchen or displayed as part of a vintage collection.

You never quite know what's going to turn up when working through a big haul!

Picked up this nice R.N. Folland print, "River Banks." Apart from being a great picture, I really love the frame as well. It's one of those frame-within-a-frame styles, with fabric covering the outer section—giving it a fantastic 1960s/70s retro vibe.

The print has picked up a few marks over the years, but overall it's in good vintage condition and still looks great, especially once it's up on the wall. I'm just giving the frame a clean at the moment, as decades of dust has left the paint on the inner frame looking a bit discoloured.

And did I mention the size? This thing is an absolute chunk at 125 x 55cm, so it'll take up a good bit of wall real estate and make a real statement in the right room.

The iron has been out this afternoon, getting a few wrinkles out of some aprons and tea towels before they head onto the shelves. A bloke's work is never done!

We've noticed aprons have definitely come back into vogue, and they continue to be popular in the shop. Whether you're after a bright retro print, a classic floral, or something a little different, there's always a good selection to choose from.

Another whole lot of Crown Lynn waiting to make its way onto the shelves! Hopefully we'll be able to match a few pieces into sets, but plenty will be heading out as individual items too.

If you've been looking for a replacement piece, trying to complete a set, or just enjoy a good mix-and-match collection, keep an eye on the shelves over the next little while.

We also came across something we haven't seen before – the "Mandy" pattern. Only three bowls, but it's always exciting to find a Crown Lynn pattern that's new to us. That's one of the things we love about buying these big lots... there's nearly always a surprise hiding somewhere!
