It's a bittersweet moment for us, getting to the end of the Ingrid Starnes perfume, with the last of our beautiful roll-ons soon to reach sell-by so being sold through.

We love perfumes, so thought we'd make one. It turned into a three year journey, where we had to learn a new vocabulary and train our senses to develop what we were wanting to achieve.
After exploring a variety of traditional and expected scents we decided to make something essential, bringing together unexpected elements, combining oils around earthy, raw, hedonistic vetyver with clean, fresh bergamot.

The first EDPs - the spray ones, were so well received. We met Tyler Brûlé of Monocle at a dinner and introduced him to the perfume, he loved it and stocked it worldwide in his stores, showcasing it a number of times in his magazine, naming it one of the best things to come out of NZ. We had a little whirlwind of interest after that, and had great mentoring, and found ourselves in Net A Porter in the UK, IFF -the biggest fragrance house in Paris, picked out by luxury goods trends guides as an example of emerging natural luxury.

Over time the EDP became too hard to continue, as our natural oils became impossible as EU regulations banned them. The synthetics were not as intoxicating. We couldn't get basic things like cellophane wrap done for love or money as no-one in NZ offered it. Sending oil suspended in alcohol is very complicated and requires very rigorous clearances, and doing that from here was not possible. So we evolved and changed, and moved to our roll-ons.
We love them. Custom glass made them recyclable. Refillable at scale. Easy to post. Easy to have on your person. Easy to keep experimenting with and to layer. And so just before the expansion when the world was all ahead we ordered a lot. And now after the covid retraction and a shift in our business model we have the last few. We hope you've loved them as much as we do, and if you'd like to get hold of one, now is the last chance.
