Future Feet - About Us

Future Feet has been fitting shoes to kiwi kids’ feet since 1993. We’re proud of our 25 years plus in business, and strive to provide our customers with good old-fashioned Kiwi service while offering the latest kids’ footwear styles from New Zealand and around the globe. Whether you’re after school shoes, sport shoes, sandals, slippers or gumboots for your child, you’ll discover a great range at Future Feet.

You’ll find us in two locations – our original flagship store at Three Lamps, Ponsonby, and our newly opened store in central Wanaka, with an extensive range of footwear for kids for school, sport and out and about. All our products in store are also available to purchase online.

With our extensive range of styles and options, you can be confident that you and your child will be able to select the right footwear to suit your needs from Future Feet. We work closely with our suppliers to bring you the best range of footwear available in New Zealand for your little ones. Our brands include Adidas, Asics, Nike, Bobux, McKinlays, Clarks, Salt Water, Keen and Teva. All styles are personally selected by us, and we pay close attention to each style’s quality, fit and value for money to make sure you get the best shoe for your child.

At Future Feet, we know every kid’s foot is different. No two feet, or two kids for that matter, are ever the same! We also know that growing feet need to be well looked after to ensure healthy foot development – whether those feet belong to a wobbly toddler, or fast growing teen. It can be tricky as a parent to know what to look for in a shoe, and how to be certain that the shoe you choose to buy is the right fit for your child. That’s why for in store customers, we offer a full fitting service to make sure your child gets the correct fitting shoe for all their requirements. During the fitting service, we’ll measure your child’s feet and talk through the suitable options with you, taking into account the unique characteristics of your child’s foot such as shape and width. We’ll then look at the fit of the selected shoes on your child and observe how your child walks and moves with the shoes on their feet. All the while, making sure we make the experience as fun and stress-free as possible - for parents and child alike!
