Smiling like a maniac because I’m just so happy! Loved being in Cancun with Vader Van Odin at The Westin Lagunamar and wearing my new shirt dress. It’s made from this gorgeous print fabric I picked up from Mood Fabrics | Fabric & Sewing in NYC last year.

I don’t wear white trousers but in Mexico it is hot!! So cool colours are a must. I made these cream colour lightweight jeans specifically for this trip so I figured I might as well wear them somewhere iconic like Chichén Itzá.
I haven’t worn cream colour trousers before and I’ll admit I was dubious about it. Sure it would be unflattering and I’d spill something on them straight away. But I didn’t spill anything and I actually quite like the look. Took my brain a minute to adjust but I think I’ll wear them again back home in NZ.

Wearing my ‘souvenir’ dress in the Utah summer.
I brought this fabric back from Bali and turned it into the Madison dress. Every time I wear it I think of our Bali trip which is so special.
It is such a beautiful classic style that is flattering on so many body shapes so I know I will be wearing this for years to come.
So far this trip I’ve worn it whilst climbing a very big red hill and exploring some local historic sites.

So excited to be wearing new outfits I’ve created specifically for this trip.
The trousers and waistcoat are made from a navy crepe I purchased from a The Fabric Warehouse pop up.
The shirt dress is a ‘souvenir’ piece I made from this fun print I picked up in NYC at Mood Fabrics | Fabric & Sewing on my last trip.

24 hours flying to Toronto and 24 hours here so far. So excited to be back here and for all the fun that is to come!
I made so many new pieces of clothing that I’m so excited to wear on this trip. Already wore one new top and managed to get ramen splattered all over it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Get ready with me to attend a western themed murder mystery party.
This was such a fun evening and I enjoyed figuring out costumes for my daughter and I. She is wearing all my clothes and a few things I had planned for my outfit that just looked better on her. Her outfit was so much fun.
My son wasn’t super keen on the whole idea but he participated which I’m grateful for.

I’ve lost multiple loved ones to cancer over the years so i am proud to participate in

Our team is going in all purple so I’ve pulled out as many purple clothing items and I could and found that I had lots of tops but no pants or skirts. Thankfully I have fabric and can sew! Whipping up a skirt and tutu didn’t take long at all and completed my ridiculously purple outfit.

I truly wish I had purple socks and shoes but alas I do not and will be walking heaps so I need comfort over style.
