This jacket was in need of a full makeover 🪡🎨🖌️
I used the insides of the pockets to create elbow pads for covering the holes / tears. I then used a fabric paint on the worn areas to give it a fresh look.
His jacket has been worn for years and now has a new lease of life ♻️
Waste is only waste if we waste it 🙌🏼

Meet our newest Repair Hero: Rebecca Sadler of The Fix Up QT She studied fashion and was drawn most to sewing, and it became both therapy and a way to give back to community.

She says, "My motto is -clothes worth wearing, are worth repairing" A woman after our own sustainable heart! When she's not busy saving clothes from landfill, she would love a little roadie around Aotearoa.

Come see Rebecca, and our other talented volunteer fixers at the Repair Cafe on Sun 15th Oct at Te Atamira 11am-3pm.
