Chilly Wednesday, and this week we’ve got Indigo choosing the tunes 💗

You may know her from down the lane, where she might’ve made you a beautiful coffee, or you’ve probably spotted her wandering around Whāingaroa with that big smile on her face.

Her mix is the perfect little midweek flow 🦋 a bit dreamy, a bit dancey and a little bit of everything. Basically, exactly what we needed for a Wednesday.

When I asked what she’s up to, she said she’s honestly just trying to make the world a better place for our tamariki 🩵 while getting up to a bit of mischief along the way ha. And when it comes to how music carries her through the day, it’s late nights in the kitchen, dancing all the worries away ⭐️💕

Ok we’re running a little late in the day for our Wednesday Taringa BUT this week we have the forever favourite, Conor! 🌀

Back with a second playlist because we just needed another one from him. You might know him from across the road at one of the best eateries in town, Molasses. He’s also one of my besties, and someone I’ve been lucky enough to grow up alongside in Whāingaroa from day dot.

Hope you’re all doing well as we have transitioned into September and the start to Spring 🌼 it’s always a weird time of year as we leave the winter behind us and get excited for the warmer months ahead! This is the time where business is tricky too, so we gotta keep pushing and keep the positive flow on 🤘thank you for sticking with me, it’s nearly my 5th birthday in business and that truly hurts my brain 💥😂 learning every day and trying to find ways to make this thing keep rolling! EVERYONE’S TARINGA ⭐️ EP.31

This week on the aux we have Jordyn with a Why! 🫶🏼

One of the most beautiful artists to come out of Aotearoa, and an absolute Whāingaroa taonga. Jordyn is bringing te reo Māori to the world through her music and we are SO stoked to have her soundtracking our week this week. 🌀

She’s currently getting ready to head off to London to celebrate waiata reo Māori at Abbey Road Studios and getting ready to release her EP soon, how cool is that?! 🥹

As for how she likes to listen… in the car with a really delicious sound system. Otherwise, headphones. And honestly, we can already tell this playlist is going to sound good either way.

EVERYONE’S TARINGA ⭐️ EP.30

This week we’re handing the aux over to our girl Stormi 🫶🏼 for the second time! Because how good to keep the playlists rotating?!

Our Aotearoa music industry queen, our forever lil sis, and a big part of our Everyone’s whānau ❤️‍🔥

Stormi’s currently navigating that work/life balance, but with some siiiick festivals and concerts coming up, there’s plenty to be excited about! And honestly, her playlist this week is the perfect soundtrack for it all.

At the moment, you’ll most likely find her listening to her music in the car 💘 there’s something about driving with the music cranked that just makes the time fly by. Plus, it means you can chuck on a whole album and let it play from start to finish. The best.

EVERYONE’S TARINGA ⭐️ EP.29

This week on the aux we have Aysh! 🫶🏼

If you know Aysh, you know that she is a creative wizzzzz ⭐️ we are actually very lucky to have her pottery throughout the store 🏺

She says she doesn’t get up to much, but there’s clay, various other crafts, baking & always trying to learn more and make everything perfect with her special touch!

As for the music, she says she listens in noise cancelling headphones while she creates or goes on a long moody walk aka “don’t talk to me LOLOLOL” 😂

So this week’s Taringa is for the girly pops 💅🏼🎧 A mix of some classics and maybe something you’ve never heard. We love hearing your mixes that are authentically YOU!
