Today, on Father’s Day, I thought I’d share this video of Dad and me from the Christchurch Show last year a little snippet into why we love wool and how Eweburn Creek came to be.

Back in 2023, I went out for lunch with Mum and Dad and told them I wanted to start my own knitwear label using wool from our farm. They listened to all my ideas, and not long after, I got a text from Mum saying, “Dad thinks you should call it Eweburn Creek.”

And that was that. Eweburn Creek was born.

Dad’s connection to wool goes back a long way. At 16, he started out in the shearing shed as a rousey before later becoming a shearer. Today, he’s a farmer who puts so much care into his stock and the wool they grow something that has become a huge part of what Eweburn Creek is all about.

He’s also not too bad to have around at a market when there’s a tent to put up!

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Thanks for always backing my ideas, helping behind the scenes and being part of the Eweburn Creek story.

This September, we’re wearing blue for the men in our lives. 💙

In rural communities, we’re pretty good at looking out for each other but sometimes the important conversations about our health are the ones we put off.

So this Blue September, we’re helping get the conversation started.

For every pair of our Sky Blue Socks sold during September, we’ll donate $5 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ.

For our dads, brothers, partners, mates and all the Kiwi men in our communities. 💙

With the last week of winter approaching, it’s almost that time of year again… spring 🌱🐑

We can’t wait to see little lambs running around the paddocks again. There’s something pretty special about this time of year 🤍

Not long now until lambing season

This is where it all begins raw wool, hard work, and a whole lot of hands behind every Eweburn Creek piece.

From the sheep, to the shearing shed, to yarn, and eventually into the knitwear you wear and love. We’re pretty proud to know exactly where our wool comes from and to be able to share the journey from the very beginning.

From our farm to your wardrobe.

Inspired by the original Guernsey, this timeless knit is designed to last a lifetime.

I still have one of my dad’s wool Guernseys from when he was 18, and it’s still going strong today. That is exactly what inspired us to create ours a Guernsey that can be worn, loved, and passed down through generations.

Crafted from 100% natural New Zealand merino wool, with no dyes, each Guernsey showcases the natural colour of the fleece it came from. Warm, durable, and made to stand the test of time.

A true wardrobe staple you’ll reach for season after season.
