And suddenly, I stopped chasing the things that kept making me feel small.

The invite.
The reply.
The effort.
The attention.
The feeling of being chosen by people who were barely choosing me at all.

It is quieter now, but I think that is the point.

When you stop waiting for people to notice you, text you back, include you, understand you, or make you feel important, there is finally space to hear yourself again.

It can feel lonely at first.
Then it starts to feel peaceful.
Then one day you realise you are not begging for scraps of connection anymore.

You are just coming back to yourself.

And honestly, I think that is where the healing starts.
