An ensemble featuring wide-leg purple trousers and a raglan-sleeve top.
The top is crafted from kimono lining fabric, creating a beautiful, soft color gradation.
The trousers utilize the full width of the kimono fabric, resulting in a comfortable, wide-leg fit; the deep purple hue and woven wave pattern of the trousers provide a sense of lightness that complements the top’s paler purple tones.

【Mio】-from the Kimono Up-cycle fashion show-
The design of her kimono evokes a sense of both serenity and passion through the contrast between the navy-blue outer fabric and the red lining.
While the navy-blue outer fabric is understated rather than ostentatious, it features exquisite Japanese hand-embroidery in silver thread.
The navy and red tones beautifully complement one another, creating delightful glimpses of the red lining—visible at the hem, cuffs, and the underside of the collar—as she moves.
The result is a stunning piece defined by the striking contrast between the navy-blue exterior and the red lining.

Thank you so much for coming Estuary Arts Centre on Friday night for a fundraising event! Also thank you for thinking of me/us about the fashion show which was gorgeous and amazing team together!
I made 4 Up-cycle Kimono clothes for it, and mix traditional Kimono, Yukata(casual Kimono) and western & Japanese kimono style. We were 10 models together.

Approx 90 people attended to the event, hope everyone enjoyed it.

Live music Taiko🥁(Japanese drums), Koto🪉(Japanese harp) and Matcha cocktail/mocktail🍸🍵 were beautiful!!

I appreciate for joining this event.

Join us for a special evening celebrating Japanese art and culture at Estuary Arts Centre.
Enjoy upcycled kimono catwalk show, the energy of taiko drumming, Japanese-inspired refreshments, and an intimate artist talk with mizuhiki artist Kana Inami.

All money will be donated to Estuary Art Center!

It’s end of August, the fundraising event is 1 month away!
I feel the last spurt to the show.
The tickets are able to get on Estuary Arts Centre website.
Koto(Japanese harp) and Taiko(Japanese drum) are coming too🥁.
It will be a fun night 😊

The second sample has done and had a fitting for a model a few weeks ago, the kimono colour suits her!! Love this colour😊

Participate of a fundraising event Estuary Arts Centre on 2nd OCT, Kimono up-cycle fashion show! etc

One sample has been done for the kimono up cycle fashion show and had a fitting for a model a few weeks ago and the Kimono is took apart of pieces.
The event poster is published last week, hope everything goes well.

Participate of a Kimono up-cycle fashion show in Orewa on 2nd Oct.

My Japanese friend founded Japan Art NZ Inc. recently, and the first event/exhibition is coming at Estuary Arts Centre in Orewa.
The centre and JANZ do a fundraising event on 2nd Oct, it is coming Kimono up-cycle fashion show, Koto(Japanese harp) and Taiko(Japanese dram). It’s just one night event.

I participate of the fashion show. I have done some samples and took apart Kimono pieces.

More details will be announced later.
