When I started PERRIAM, I never wanted to create knitwear that sat in wardrobes waiting for the “right occasion.”

I wanted to create pieces that become part of your story. The jumper you reach for on cool mornings, pack in your suitcase without thinking, throw over your shoulders after a swim, or wear around the table with the people you love.

Because that’s where life happens. In the ordinary moments that become the memories we treasure most.

Some say when you own your own business, you’re never really on holiday 😂

I may have snuck our new Laura Blouse into my suitcase (I still had to sew on the buttons) so I could wear her in Hawaiʻi… even though she’s not arriving until summer. 🤭

She’s every bit as lovely as I’d hoped, and I honestly can’t wait to show you all her beautiful details this coming season. I have a feeling she’s going to become a favourite. ☀️🤍

Some say when you own your own business, you’re never really on holiday 😂

I may have snuck our new Laura Blouse into my suitcase so I could wear her in Hawaiʻi… even though she’s not arriving until summer and I just had to sew on the buttons. 🤭

The reason that I ultimately started Perriam was because I am inherently creative. As a young girl I spent hours crafting with my mum and my next door neighbour Helen. I love it. I love stitching and creating specifically with wool when I can. This year I’ve decided to get back to my why. To who I truly am. When you build a brand which ultimately started for the love of creating you can get pulled in so many different directions and you lose sight of why you started it in the first place. I’m resetting. I’m stitching again and I’m loving it. So much so of course I brought a crafting project on holiday with me 😂. I’ve decided to embroider, using these wool embroidery threads to stitch a tshirt that will remind me of our time in Hawaii. Like a visual diary to preserve the memories and to have a keepsake I can cherish forever. Obvs the tshirt is 100% cotton.

Before I traded the snow for the sun, I wore my Briar Cable in Pinot Noir for the first time… and I think I’ve found my new black.

It’s one of those colours that goes with everything and somehow feels both timeless and fresh. Inspired by the vineyards that surround us here in Central Otago and the beautiful Pinot noirs they produce.

What a blessing it is to travel with my family. To experience new places and be inspired by new cultures, architecture and businesses. This is my second time to Hawaii. I went with mum many years ago and have so many fond memories of my time here with her. Waikiki is a real feast for the eyes in many ways 😂 and wow there is a lot of people!!! We’re def not in Tarras anymore 😅😆✈️
