Rachel Lambert Jewellery

Rachel Lambert Jewellery Rachel Lambert Jewellery, unique jewellery designed and crafted in New Zealand. Jewellery making workshops for beginner to advanced learning.

One-off classes and seven week courses on offer. Group and individual sessions also available on request. Born, raised and currently residing in Ōkato, Taranaki, making things has been a big part of my life from a very early age, largely due to having the positive influence and encouragement of an artist father. After leaving school I studied jewellery techniques at Manukau Institute of Technology

in Auckland NZ. Once I finished my studies in 2001, I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in exhibitions, sell my work in NZ galleries and feature in a few magazines; North and South, Home and Garden, Urbis and Jewellers Trade. Later on I went travelling and based myself in the UK for six years where I worked as a bench jeweller and tutor for an independent jewellery store. Also, up-skilling in jewellery workshop classes here in NZ and in the UK. The jewellery I have made in this time has varied greatly. From Maori/Pacific inspired pieces, organic shapes and natural materials to traditional silver/gold-smithing, gem setting and repairs.

I had a super fun day in the workshop over the weekend with these two awesome people showing them how to make their own wedding rings. A practice ring in silver and copper then the real deal in 14ct yellow gold. They did an amazing job! Thank you Radek and Tereza, it was a real pleasure.

Been tidying up my photos (have way too many of course) so thought I'd post some pieces from over the last few years. Looking back makes me wonder where they all go; I can get kind of attached to them, as I'm sure many makers out there know well :)

A couple of recent commissions made from unworn inherited jewellery split between sisters 🙂🙏
