This beautiful dress was just a little too small for her, so we transformed the back into a gorgeous lace-up design.

The modesty panel finishes at the waist, with the lacing above creating a beautiful, delicate look that complements the dress so beautifully.

"It's just taking it in a few centimetres..."

I hear this a lot.

But wedding dress alterations are completely different from altering everyday clothes.

Wedding gowns are made with boning, lace, beading, layers of tulle, multiple skirts, and intricate internal construction. Sometimes, changing the size by just a few centimetres means carefully taking the gown apart and rebuilding it.

There are quicker, cheaper ways to make a dress smaller, but they don't create the same finish.

My philosophy has always been simple: the alterations should be invisible. It should look as though the gown was made just for you.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. Every eye will be on you, and your dress should look beautiful from every angle.

That's why I take the time to do it properly. 🤍

At my private studio in Whakamarama, I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable fitting experience for every bride.

A large mirror allows you to see the silhouette and fine details of your dress from every angle. You can also walk around and twirl in your dress to see how it moves and feels in motion.

This beautiful, voluminous dress has many layers in the skirt, which also makes it quite heavy.

During the fitting, the bride kept pulling the dress up. The original stay waist wasn’t giving enough support, so I replaced it with an extra wide stay waist for better stability and comfort.

The bride also had an incredibly tiny waist, so the dress was taken in by about 10 cm.

Now she can enjoy her wedding day without worrying about the dress slipping down. ✨

Depending on your hairstyle, a wedding veil may work better with loops instead of a comb.
The loops are secured into the hair with bobby pins for a softer and more flexible fit.
