Believe it or not, we really did fill out June! and now we have a fab new notice board outside the building, I just don't have a photo...

We so enjoy working with Mint Charitable Trust and look forward to many more future projects!

Our ‘Make it MINT’ Upcycling workshops resulted in incredibly creative designs. Our sewing group learnt how to reuse pre-loved denim donated by to make one of a kind aprons and we loved the results!

One of our members, Kirsty, recently taught a workshop with Mint Trust at Fabricate. The project was ‘create an apron from an old pair of jeans’!

It was an amazing learn to sew project teaching the Mint members skills in cutting, measuring, sewing, overlocking, pinning and most importantly of all: creativity, self confidence and friendship ❤️

Thank you to the volunteers who helped out with the workshop series. And to all the Mint members, as well as Lia from Mint, who organised the series. It was an emotional ending to an incredible experience!

Thanks too, to Wanaka Wastebusters for supplying jeans and also to Two+Lou for your awesome fabric off cuts, which were cut up and added as appliqués!
