Sorry I've been a bit absent over the last couple of weeks! I actually got a new job at Weta Workshop so I've been flat tack in training :) the next month will be full on but hopefully I'll have time (and energy) to start posting and making again more regularly!

I made a cute style dress, out of a costume pattern. I wanted to challenge myself to make it look less costume like. I think I succeeded to a point but if I was to make it again, I would change a few things, like the sleeves and sew it my own way. That's the thing with Big4 patterns, sometimes they don't come together as smoothly as if you just sewed it together yourself

I'll be using just the bodice to make my Rosie Cotton for international day in September but I'll be using my own and my own skirt instead of their pattern

I actually considered not sharing these photos because I don't love them, I spent hours taking pictures and realized they just weren't right, but that's just the way it goes sometimes and we just have to keep going :)

I thought I might share a couple more images of this cape coat! My favorite part is the swish

This was made using thrifted fabrics, and this was all curtain off cuts! It's not the first item on my wardrobe made from curtains and it won't be the last

It's a super basic pattern, and one I would highly recommend for beginners, as it makes something so stunning, that they can most definitely be proud of
