Luxury Knitwear in support of MOTHER’s IN ACTION!
Well, it all started when my grandmother’s taught me how to knit when I was a child. I always loved making things and followed that through to a career in the fashion industry. I was blessed with opportunities to live all over the world, my work taking me to London, New York California and Los Angeles. As I progressed I was questioning the fashion industry and feeling like there must be a better way to do things that creates true impact for the women who work on it, as well as beautiful pieces for the customers to enjoy for a long time. Through a beautiful set of chances I met MOTHERS IN ACTION in Peru, and knew they were the organization I wanted to partner with. Empowering women with flexible hand-work so they can continue to look after their children and families as well as make a living. They are fair trade certified and I spent some time with them in October 2019 to build a more personal connection with the women who are doing all this work!
