Happy August, everyone!!
It is a perfect time to get a head start on your fall clothing... these gorgeous wool ponchos handmade by our local Peruvian friends are PERFECT for the cooler weather that is soon coming.
These are ceremonial ponchos, as they have sacred symbols of animals and nature elements carefully weaved onto them.
Mamita Lucia from the native Quechua community in the sacred valley of Cusco explains that these symbols are transmitted to them by the Great Spirit as they begin their weaving work.
The colours come from only natural tinctures!

Hellooooo beautiful people!
Wow, we are nearly in March, 2025... we've been absent from social media for several months now because I had a baby! 🌸.

Now we are back on track🚃 and with brand new exciting things!
We have some gorgeous handmade jewellery made by my partner - and of course it would be great help for us and our growing family in this coming spring 🌷.

Here is the master weaver Lucia!
She hand weaves many of the gorgeous scarves and ponchos that we well. Starting from the alpaca wool she collects herself, then washing it, dyeing it naturally with minerals and plants, and finally weaving her works of art. Such patience! Such talent! Such creativity and ancestral wisdom is demonstrated in her textiles.
Lucia is from the Quechua native community of Amaru, located in the highlands of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru.

Check out these beautiful chumpis we now have available! ✨
Each one is unique, ethically bought from women in native communities, and each with different symbols inspired by Peruvian spirituality. 🏔
So what are chumpis?
They are handwoven belts made of wool, used here in the Andes for protection against negative energies. Women mostly use them to protect their womb during their energy work in ceremonies.🙏
Another important use is following birth, to help the uterus cover, and for the belly to reduce back to its normal size.
In any case, they are so beautiful, colorful, and fashionable, how could you resist getting one for yourself!?

Hello hello!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! ☀️
Watch this 1 min video filmed in the Amaru native community here in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru, to get a sneak peak into how the artisans from the native communities we work with obtain those beautiful, vibrant colors for the wool they weave with, all naturally!
It seems incredible, but it all derives from the ancestral wisdom that has been passed on from one generation to the next: this plant gives the wool this color, this stone turns it into this other color, this insect (yes! for real) gives that other color... all from natural, local resources.
