✂️👗 Behind the Seams! 👀🧵
Pssst! Here’s a little peek into the process of sewing just one sleeve of a meri blouse (no elastic)— yes, just one! 😅👏
In this short video, I’ve shown:
✨ Sewing the sleeve to the hem after all the frills were individually pinned
✂️ Snipping along the raw edge to reduce bulk (so the hem sits flat and neatly)
📍 Folding and pinning the hem in place
🪡 And finally… sewing the hem!
⏱️ The real-time video was over 8 minutes, but I’ve sped it up — because who has time to watch the slow grind? 😄 Still, it gives you a glimpse of the detail and care that goes into every blouse.
Honestly, hats off and big applause 👏💪 to all the incredible women who sew in bulk — this is no joke! It’s back-breaking work, especially for our amazing local SME mamas who juggle sewing with babies on their hips, housework on their minds, and sometimes even a full-time job to get to. 💖👶🏠💼
