Cultural Capital Co. is proud to host Paradise Runway 2026 on behalf of PNG Fashion Week.

We are inviting fashion designers from Pacific, First Nations, multicultural and emerging creative communities across Brisbane, Queensland and beyond to participate in this exciting cultural fashion showcase.

Paradise Runway is a platform designed to celebrate culture, creativity and community through fashion while creating opportunities for designers to showcase their work to new audiences.

Whether you are an established designer, emerging label, student designer or creative entrepreneur, we want to hear from you.

PARADISE RUNWAY ARRIVES IN BRISBANE

Culture. Creativity. Community.

Paradise Runway is a concept created by PNG Fashion Week that has proudly been showcased in the past as a platform for celebrating fashion, culture, creativity, and emerging talent.

Today, we are excited to announce a new chapter.

Beginning in 2026, Paradise Runway will migrate to Brisbane as an annual event, creating new opportunities for Pacific and multicultural communities, designers, models, artists, and creatives to connect, collaborate, and showcase their talents on an international stage.

Brisbane is home to one of the largest Pacific communities in Australia, and Paradise Runway has been created to provide a platform where culture can be celebrated, creativity can flourish, and communities can come together through the power of fashion.

This is more than a runway.

It is a celebration of identity.
A celebration of culture.
A celebration of our people.

Join us as we launch the next evolution of Paradise Runway and create a new tradition for Brisbane's Pacific and multicultural communities.

Pacific fashion is no longer waiting for permission to be seen.

This incredible ABC story highlights the journey of Pacific designers who continue to follow their passion, share their culture, and showcase their creativity on international stages such as Fiji Fashion Week.

For us, this is about much more than fashion.

It is about identity. It is about culture. It is about preserving traditional knowledge while creating modern opportunities for our people. Every garment, every bilum, every woven piece, every textile and every design tells a story of who we are and where we come from.

Our designers continue to achieve remarkable things despite limited support, limited funding, and limited pathways. Imagine what could be achieved if governments, businesses, and institutions truly invested in the creative industries.

The fashion industry creates jobs. It supports tourism. It empowers women and young people. It preserves culture. It drives exports. Most importantly, it gives our communities a platform to tell our own stories to the world.

We applaud the designers featured in this story and every Pacific creative who continues to dream big, work hard, and represent our cultures with pride.

The Pacific is rich in creativity, talent, and innovation. The time has come to recognise fashion and the creative arts as serious industries worthy of investment and support.

Our culture is alive. Our stories matter. Our future is creative.

We were incredibly honoured to welcome the PNG Consulate-General office in Brisbane and members of their team to Couture in Paradise.

Their presence and support meant so much to us and to the wider Papua New Guinean, Pacific and multicultural communities who came together to celebrate culture, creativity, fashion and community.

We are sincerely grateful to have the support of our government representatives as we continue building platforms that showcase our people, strengthen cultural connections and create opportunities for our communities both here in Australia and across the Pacific.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing to engage with our local communities, strengthening relationships across Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific, and creating meaningful international partnerships that celebrate who we are and where we come from.
