🌏 PLAY TODAY, PROTECT TOMORROW🌏

Here are 4 tips for ✨sustainable play✨ that we practice in our play-school inspired kid's corner rental business.

1. Sustainable over Disposable
Instead of "fast toys" made of cheap, single-use plastics that break easily, prioritize high-quality, sustainable materials like wood. A well-made wooden toy isn't just a purchase; it’s an investment that can withstand years of play, ultimately reducing the total volume of waste your household produces. Kapag naingatan, puedeng puede ipa-mana sa susunod na henerasyon.

2. Support the circular economy
Bumili ng thrifted toys or swap with play mates. Giving a "pre-loved" toy a second life keeps it out of the landfill and teaches children that "new to them" is just as exciting as "brand new." We also buy second hand kid's tables, chairs, containers, organizers, big toy equipments, etc that are usually branded and of-quality kahit 2nd owners na kami. Rare finds din madalas ang mga ito. Support mama/family online sellers who source branded premium play things instead of buying cheap mass produced replicas ng mga wooden toys sa mga online shopping apps.

3. Repair, Don't Replace
Before tossing a toy, see if it can be saved. Wooden toys are somehow easy to maximize and maintain; a quick sanding or a touch of non-toxic wood glue or repainting can fix simple "damages" or "signs of use." Teaching children to repair their toys fosters a sense of stewardship and respect for their belongings too. It also gives us a sense of ownership na mas kailangan ingatan kahit hindi bago kasi pinaghirapan natin ito buhayin muli.

4. Nature Play x Upcycling of "Clutter"
Take sustainable play outdoors by upcycling items other families might throw away. Integrating these items into nature-based activities gives them one last meaningful purpose before they are retired. We will help you declutter old items (like old kitchen items, card board boxes, scrap cloths, papers, and decors, etc) and use it on our new package that will be available soon: Outdoor-play. It will have a mud kitchen and other "messy play" invitations that will focus on nature + arts + crafts. We are still testing the things that we are currently DIY-ed like this waterplay station made of wooden pallets + old household items. Stay tuned for this!
