The world is facing a climate emergency, and the Philippines is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change. Therefore, we must educate others by promoting and supporting renewable energy. In the age of social media, everyone can raise their voice, and it's helpful to use our voices to draw attention to renewable energy sources.

Could the use of renewable energy serve as a solution to climate change?

Energy is considered renewable when it comes from natural sources or processes that are limitless; these include solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy, geothermal energy, and biomass. This renewable energy decreases CO2 emissions or carbon dioxide. The high amounts of atmospheric CO2 collect and store heat, thus disrupting weather patterns and causing global temperatures to increase. Currently, our energy demands are mostly met by fossil fuels, which are responsible for climate change, and one of the key solutions to help achieve a healthy environment is to transition to an energy source that relies on renewable energy.
