Iloilo City โ Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) arrested five drug personalities, including one High-Value Individual (HVI), and seized approximately 128 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP870,400.00 in six anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) on July 8, 2026.
Of the five arrested suspects, one (1) was identified as an HVI, while the remaining four (4) were classified as Street-Level Individuals (SLIs).
The largest drug confiscation was recorded during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 10:10 PM in Zone 1, Brgy. Boulevard, Molo, Iloilo City. The operation was carried out by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement GroupโSpecial Operations Unit 6, Iloilo Maritime Police Station, ICPO Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, and the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Iloilo City Police Station 4.
Arrested during the operation was alias โRandy,โ 48 years old, a resident of Molo, Iloilo City, who is listed as a High-Value Individual. Investigation revealed that the suspect had been under police surveillance for nearly three weeks due to his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities in the Molo District.
Recovered during the operation were 20 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 110 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated SDP of PhP748,000.00, buy-bust money, and other drug and non-drug evidence.
Police Brigadier General Randulf T Tuaรฑo, Acting Regional Director of PRO6, commended the operating units for the successful operations and emphasized the importance of sustained intelligence-driven law enforcement efforts against illegal drugs.
โThese accomplishments show what we can achieve through good intelligence, close coordination, and disciplined police operations. We will continue to pursue those involved in illegal drugs with determination while ensuring that every operation is conducted within the bounds of law and due process,โ PBGen Tuaรฑo said.
He also called on the public to support the campaign against illegal drugs by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.
โThe fight against illegal drugs requires the support of every community. Your information can help us prevent crime, protect our youth, and keep our communities safe,โ he added.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of the respective operating units and will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
