I stopped shrinking myself just to fit into other people’s opinions.
Not everyone will understand me, and that’s okay.
I don’t need to explain every word, or every actions that I do.

The moment I stopped caring about being accepted by everybody, I started to feel truly free.

So just a reminder to you that you can be loud if you want.
Be soft if you want.
Change. Heal. Outgrow. Start over.

At the end of the day, being yourself is already enough 🥰

Growing up as a plus-size curly-haired girl, I used to think I always had to “fix” something about myself first before I could fully exist confidently.

Fix the weight.
Fix the hair.
Fix the way I look in pictures.
Fix the parts of me people always had something to say about.

But one life realization I’m slowly learning is… maybe I was never meant to shrink myself just to become easier for people to accept.

Some days, my curls don’t cooperate.
Some days, I still overthink how I look.
Some days, insecurity gets loud again.

But I’m learning that confidence isn’t waking up feeling pretty every single day. Sometimes, it’s just choosing not to hate yourself as much as you used to.

And honestly? That already feels like growth 🥰💖
