THE STRONGEST PLANT BASED NATURAL FIBER IN THE WORLD

Why abacá is the strongest plant fiber:

Tensile strength: around 980 MPa, the highest among plant fibers.

Durability: Resistant to saltwater, rotting, and pests.

Applications: Marine ropes, specialty papers (currency notes, tea bags, filter paper), textiles, and composites.

Comparison of common plant-based natural fibers (average tensile strength):

Abacá – ~980 MPa

Sisal – ~600–700 MPa

Jute – ~400–800 MPa

Coir (coconut husk) – ~220 MPa

Cotton – ~400 MPa

Flax (linen) – ~500–900 MPa

H**p (Cannabis sativa) – ~550–900 MPa

This makes abacá the strongest and most durable plant fiber known, especially valuable in industries that need strength and resistance to water and stress.

WHAT IS AN INDUSTRIAL PARTNER?

AI Overview

An industrial partner is a member of a business partnership who contributes expertise, labor, skills, or services rather than money or property. Unlike capitalist partners who provide financial investment, the industrial partner brings their technical know-how, operational capabilities, or active management to the business, often playing a significant role in the day-to-day operations and success of the partnership.

Key characteristics of an industrial partner:
Contribution: Provides industry, labor, skill, or service to the partnership.

No Capital Required: Does not contribute capital in money or property.

Profit Sharing: Receives a share of profits, which is typically determined to be just and equitable by the circumstances, as per Article 1789 of the Civil Code of the Philippines.

Loss Liability: Generally not liable for the partnership's losses, except for the profits they gain from engaging in competing businesses.
Exclusive Industry: The partnership has an exclusive right to their industry, meaning they cannot engage in similar business activities unless expressly permitted by the partnership.

Example:
In a partnership that opens a restaurant, a capitalist partner might provide the funds to buy equipment and rent the property, while an industrial partner could be a skilled chef who manages the kitchen, creates the menu, and oversees the cooking processes.

Note: An industrial partner can also contribute both industry and capital, in which case they would be considered a capitalist-industrial partner and share in the profits proportionally to both their capital and their industry contribution.

CATANDUANES ISLAND AND THE ABACA PRECIOUS COMMODITY

With about 19,460 hectares as of last survey about 6 years ago, the island province of Catanduanes is the biggest producer of abaca fibers not only in the Philippines but the world. At present, Catanduanes only produces from 5th to 8th class fibers. The objective is to produce all 1st class quality fibers and supply the world.

Abaca are the strongest, the longest and the most porous natural fiber in the world. It is a gold mine waiting to be tapped properly. It is native or indigenous to the Philippines because of its 4 types of climate and rich volcanic soil. There are 24 active volcanoes in the Philippines.

The Philippines produces abaca fibers at 92% hand or manual, 2% Spindle and 6% Decorticated. We intend to produce only 1st class quality fibers utilizing the upgraded spindle stripping machines through the ATBSP-AFSE approach.

All the eastern seaboard of the country are typhoon prone areas during rainy/wet season from June to December but that is where the abaca plant grows vigorously and aplenty. There are about 52 provinces planted to abaca out of the 82 provinces nationwide but Catanduanes produces 1/3 of the country's abaca fiber production. All of its 11 municipalities are planted to abaca ranging from 655 hectares to 2,915 hectares or an average of about 1,769 hectares. At 19,460 hectares, it is projected to produce 77,840 mts or valued at about PHP3,892B projected net profit or about $US68.05M.

we only need 500 to 600 hectares inside a 10 - 15 kilometer radius to operate one (1) facilty to earn a net profit of about P75M - P200M annually depending on the daily abaca tuxy receipts.

What more if 11 facilities? Your guess is as good as mine.
