As a first-time mom, I realized something…

Even when he was still in my belly, I was already thinking about how I was going to be a mom. How would I take care of him properly? Would I know what to do? Would I be able to wake up at all hours of the night? Could I survive on little to no sleep? Would I be good enough for him?

I had so many questions and worries before he even arrived.

But now that he’s finally here, I’m realizing that maybe you don’t really become a mom all at once. You become one little by little — every time you wake up for him even when you’re exhausted, every time you learn what his cries mean, every time you worry about the smallest things, and every time you choose to keep going even when you’re tired.

There are still so many things I’m learning, and I know I’ll make mistakes along the way. But somehow, I’m slowly realizing that I’m more capable than I thought I was.

Motherhood is tiring, overwhelming, and sometimes scary… but it’s also the most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced.

I spent so much time wondering if I could do this.

And now, here I am—doing it.. 🥹🤍
