If you’ve ever planned a wedding… chances are, na-experience mo na kahit isa sa mga ito. 😭
At first, sobrang exciting at nakakakilig ang engagement season.
You imagined wearing your dream wedding attire, cake tasting, pictorials, and counting down to the wedding day.
Pero habang tumatagal yung planning…
Nakakaramdam ka na ng stress, may pressure, may hidden expenses, at minsan natutulala ka na lang habang nakatingin sa laptop at wedding budget. 😭
Honestly?
Hindi ka nag-iisa, sis.
After talking to thousands of brides through The Budgetarian Bride, eto talaga yung paulit-ulit na dahilan kung bakit maraming brides-to-be ang mentally and emotionally drained during wedding preps:
📌 Budget
Ito yung tipong bawat compute mo parang nanganganak yung gastos.
Akala mo okay na kayo, kasya yung budget. Tapos biglang:
“Need pala ng crew meal.”
“May OOTF pa pala.”
“May corkage at overtime fees pala sa venue.”
“May additional pax.”
Tapos mapapatanong ka na lang…
“Normal pa ba 'tong total natin? Ganito ba talaga” 😭
📌 Unsolicited Opinions
Habang nagpaplano ka, pakiramdam mo parang lahat may say sa wedding ninyo.
“Dapat dito ang venue ha.”
“Mas maganda kung mas maraming guests.”
“Sayang kung walang ganito.”
“Bakit hindi nyo gawin tulad ng wedding ni ganito?”
And the hardest part? You’re trying to respect everyone while also trying not to lose your own vision as a couple.
📌 Guest List
Ito talaga yung isa sa pinakamalaking source ng stress (at gastos!).
May magtatampo pag di nainvite, may magsasama ng dagdag na bisita na akala mo okasyon nila, may mag-aassume na automatically invited sila, at may mga hindi nag-RSVP pero darating.
Kung alam lang nila ang gastos per head, baka malula sila.
Minsan tuloy parang hindi wedding ang pineprepare mo, parang family reunion or fiesta. 😭
📌 Not-So-Professional Suppliers
Ito yung nakakapagod emotionally.
Yung suppliers na matagal magreply, or late na mag-update. Minsan may mga hindi malinaw na inclusions, may hidden charges.
Yung iba naman may paiba-ibang usapan, nagbabago after makabayad ng non-refundable downpayment.
Minsan may horror stories ka pang mababasa online about suppliers (na walang contract or official receipt) disappearing after getting full payments.
Kaya maraming brides yung anxious magbook…
kasi natatakot silang mascam or mastress lalo.
📌 “Ikaw na bahala” – Groom Edition 😭
Honestly, hindi naman lahat ng groom ganito pero maraming brides ang napapagod kasi parang sila lang yung organizer ng buong kasal.
Ikaw maghahanap, kakausap, magdedecide, at magcocompute.
Tapos ang feedback lang:
“Kahit ano, okay lang. Ikaw na bahala.”
At first parang supportive naman siya sa gusto mo, pero eventually, nakakapagod din gawin lahat na mag-isa ka lang.
📌 Traditions, Expectations, Pamahiin
Ito yung sobrang hirap i-balance lalo na kung traditional yung family ninyo.
May expectations ang mga relatives, minsan pati mga kapitbahay.
And sometimes, you start questioning yourself tuloy if valid pa ba yung gusto ninyo as a couple. Or bakanikaw talaga ang mali.
📌 Budget ulit 😭
Kasi kahit anong topic, bumabalik pa rin talaga sa budget HAHAHA.
Mas maliit ang budget, tapos mas malaki at traditional ang pamilya, mas nakakastress.
Ito yung dahilan bakit maraming brides ang naiistress during preps...
Kasi wedding planning can genuinely feel overwhelming kapag wala kang clear system, guidance, at confidence habang nagsisimula.
