TAGUMPAY SA WEST PHILIPPINE SEA, SAMPUNG TAON NA!

Ang BayaNi Juan ay nakikiisa sa sambayanang Pilipino na nagbibigay-pugay sa ating tagumpay na ipinaglaban sa Permanent Court of Arbitration sa The Hague noong Hulyo 12, 2016.

Dito ipinawalang-bisa ng tribunal ang imahinasyong "nine-dash line" na ipinakalat noong 2009 ng bansang Tsina at kinatigan ang mga karapatang soberano ng Pilipinas sa mga karagatang ito sa ilalim ng United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Sa kabila nang hindi pagkilala ng Tsina sa panalong ito ng Pilipinas, patuloy pa rin ang mga suporta at pagkilalang natatanggap natin mula sa iba pang pandaigdigang organisasyon at mga bansa.

Lubos na pasasalamat sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts sa kanilang pagtampok ng BayaNi Juan sa pahina ng Agung bilang isa sa mga nakilahok sa kauna-unahang HisToEx (History To Experience) 2024 sa Gateway Mall, Araneta Center.

Ang Agung ay ang opisyal na (libreng) pahayagan ng NCCA na nagtatampok ng kahusayan ng mga Pilipino, ang pagtataguyod at pagpapahalaga sa mayamang kultura, pamana at mga sining ng ating bansa.

Muling makikiisa ang BayaNi Juan sa HisToEx 2026 na gaganapin sa SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, sa darating na Hulyo 27-29, 2026. Magkita po tayo.

¡𝗕𝗨𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗦! 𝗠𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗬!

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in the Philippines, the Municipal Government of Baler, the Provincial Government of Aurora, and other participating agencies; will celebrate the 𝟐𝟒𝓽𝓱 𝓟𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓮-𝓢𝓹𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓼𝓱 𝓕𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹 𝓓𝓪𝔂 on 30 June 2026 at the San Luis Obispo Parish, Baler, Aurora. Department of Agriculture Secretary Franciso Tiu Laurel, Jr. and Spanish Ambassador Miguel Utray will serve as co-Guests of Honor in the remembrance of the historic Siege of Baler that culminated in the recognition of peace and friendship between the Filipino and Spanish peoples.

The event will also include various activities throughout the month of June, including activities in Baler such as Spanish classes, contests by the Department of Education (DepEd), a celebration of Filipino-Spanish culture, and the opening of the National Museum of the Philippines – Baler. Events commemorating Col. Simon Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan; and the annual Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day Conference in October will also be celebrated throughout the year.

Republic Act No. 9187 proclaimed the 30th of June as Philippine-Spanish Friendship day in commemoration of the gallantry of Spanish soldiers that held out for more than a year during the Siege of Baler before honorably surrendering to Col. Tecson and the First Philippine Republic in 1899. In recognition of their faithfulness to their nation, President Emilio Aguinaldo issued a decree recognizing the soldiers as Friends of the Filipino people and ensuring their safe passage back to Spain. Formal diplomatic relations between the two countries began in 1947 and will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2027.

The 128th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence is set to be celebrated simultaneously in various sites throughout the country.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will lead the flag raising and wreath laying ceremony in the Jose Rizal National Monument in Rizal Park Luneta, Manila. He will be accompanied by NHCP Chair Regalado Trota Jose, Jr., top government officials, and members of the diplomatic corps. This will be followed by the Parada ng Kalayaan at the Quirino Grandstand.

Meanwhile, similar ceremonies will be held in the following sites:
• Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine, Kawit, Cavite with Governor Francisco Gabriel "Abeng" Remulla as guest of honor
• Andres Bonifacio National Monument, Caloocan City with Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rexlon "Rex" Gatchalian as guest of honor
• Barasoain Church Historical Landmark, Malolos City, Bulacan with NHCP Board Member and Philippine Historical Association president Francis "Chas" Navarro as guest of honor
• Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine, San Juan City with Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro as guest of honor
• Museo ng Kasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas, Angeles City with Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo as guest of honor; and,
• Mausoleo de los Veteranos de la Revolucion, Manila with National Defense Undersecretary Ireneo Espino as guest of honor

In addition, local government units and Philippine embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions are encouraged to hold ceremonies and activities to celebrate Independence Day.

It has been 128 years since the Filipino revolutionary government led by President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed our nation’s independence from Spanish rule in Kawit, Cavite in 1898. Independence Day was celebrated until 1901 when the First Philippine Republic ended. After our independence was recognized internationally, it was celebrated on 4 July from 1946 until 1964 when Republic Act No. 4166 restored June 12 as Independence Day.

Bilang bahagi ng ating pagdiriwang ng , inihahandog ng pamahalaan ang 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 para sa lahat ng mamamayan ngayong 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼, 𝟲-𝟳 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! Handang maglingkod ang iba't ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan para sa lahat ng Pilipino kung saan matutunghayan ang kanilang mga serbisyo.

Para naman sa mga 𝑾𝑨𝑰𝑺 nating mga kababayan, tara na sa 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒌𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒏 ng DTI kung saan makakakita ng maraming produkto na 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤! Di naman magpapahuli ang 𝑲𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒘𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒐 para sa mga bagsak presyo't abot kayang bilihin! Snappy salute para sa ating mga Military at Uniformed Personnel na ipapakita ang lakas at tibay ng Pilipino sa 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚-𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒄 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚.
