A treasure of Philippine heritage, Aklan Piña stands as the Queen of Philippine Textiles—renowned for its fineness, rarity, and the exquisite craftsmanship woven into every fiber. Through generations of mastery, this delicate fiber is transformed into a fabric of quiet elegance—now stepping onto the global stage through Raquel’s Piña Cloth, in collaboration with DOST-PTRI.

A new wave of Filipino innovation takes the spotlight at NEXT @ Fashion InStyle 2026 in Hong Kong—where science, sustainability, and design converge to shape the future of fashion.

Led by the DOST–Philippine Textile Research Institute, in partnership with CITEM and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center Hong Kong, this initiative positions Hong Kong as a strategic gateway—opening doors to ASEAN and global markets for Philippine textiles.

At its core, Aklan Piña represents the future of Filipino textiles: innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive. Through platforms like this, PTRI connects MSMEs, designers, and technology developers with international buyers—transforming heritage into market-ready excellence.
