TAZAS' items are vintage, retro or pre-owned unless declared otherwise. This would usually include slight rubbing to gold edging and cutlery marks. Any damage such as cracks, chips, or noticeable gold loss will be declared.

Excellent condition - pristine condition; looks new; possibly unused; stocked or used as display; gold intact on all part

Very good condition (VGC) - still looks great; feels of slight usage but not abused; may or may not have very minimal to almost unnoticeable gold rubs; may or may not have cutlery mark or scratches, or stain; bottom and back may be discolored but will be cleaned prior to ship out. Good condition - definite used condition; visible gold rubs to gold loss; have cutlery marks or scratches or stains; bottom and back may be discolored; may or may not have minimal or unnoticeable crazings. Damaged/Repaired condition - feels of usage; could have visible crazings, hairlines, or chip.

⚜️ Royal Albert Provincial Flowers⚜️

“Pitcher Plant”
Bone China, England

Newfoundland and Labrador - Although it was not declared the provincial flower of Newfoundland and Labrador until 1954, this strange plant appeared on the Newfoundland penny during the late 1880s. The pitcher plant is found primarily in bogs and marshlands throughout the province. It has a large wine-red flower with a red and good centre, and hollow pitcher-shaped leaves are attached to the base of the stem. An insectivorous plant, it feeds off the insects that become trapped inside when the leaves fill with water.

Ontario - The Floral Emblem Act was passed in Ontario in 1937. It states that “the flower known botanically as the trillium grandiflorum and popularly known as the white trillium is the floral emblem of the Province of Ontario.” The white trillium can be found in deciduous forests and woodlands of the province in late April and early May.

“Mayflower”

Nova Scotia - The delicate pink mayflower, blooming in the forest glades in early spring, signifies Nova Scotia’s coking of age. As far back as 1820 the mayflower emerged as a native patriotic symbol, suggesting high achievement in the face of adversity. The humble evergreen from the native countryside blossoms amid the last remaining snow of winter. From 1830s through the end of the century, the emblematic mayflower was celebrated in songs, poetry, and political oratory. In 1901, the Trailing Arbutus (Epigaea repens), commonly known as the mayflower was declared to be the Provincial Flower of Nova Scotia, and have been so from time immemorial.

“Mountain Avens”
Bone China, England

Northwest Territories - The Floral Emblem was adopted by the Council of the Northwest Territories when it enacted the Flowal Emblem Ordinance in June 1957. The Mountain Avens (Dryas octopetala) has narrow basal leaves and supports a single white and yellow flower on a short stem. This member of the rose family grows abundantly in the eastern and central Arctic, as well as in parts of the Mackenzie region. It is found in open and and well-drained areas, especially on high or rocky ground.

“Alberta Rose”

Alberta’s flower is the Wild Rose. It is a flower that is able to grow on mountain and in meadows and the bush produces berries called rose hips. Rose hips can be picked in the late summer and are excellent source of vitamin C. The wild rose has been the official flower since 1930.
