Masferré who from 1935 – 1956 took pictures of the people of the central Cordillera and their high and distinctive cultural heritage. Nena Masferré Aleo, daughter of the famous photographer Eduardo Masferré and proprietor of Masferré Souvenir realizing the beauty and cultural value of her father’s photograph, vowed to continue what her father started. Nena Masferré Aleo started small… in 1985, she produced T-Shirts imprinted with Masferré photographs and were sold in a small rented stall at shopper’s lane, Gen. From 1985 – 1992 the dream of continuing what her father started evolved from producing t-shirts to bags, all imprinted with Masferré photographs. Today Masferré Souvenirs produces t-shirts, bags, throw pillows, and other small items. Masferré Souvenir is committed to work for the continuing development of the Philippines through tourism and the prosperity of the Filipinos through promotion of their rich cultural heritage particularly of the Cordilleras. With artistic sensitivity, the Masferré photographs capture and portray with deeper meaning and intrinsic beauty , the elegance and dignity of the people of the Philippine cordillera.
