Hello and Goodbye🫶🏻
Last March 31, 2026, I officially closed my physical store because I chose to spend my break from work with my baby.
That break was the only time I could truly be present for her. She had been staying in Cagayan with her lola because there was no one available to take care of her here. Yes, I could have hired someone, but I have trust issues when it comes to leaving my child in someone else's care. At the end of the day, I chose what I believed was best for my Felize👧.
It was never an easy decision. It took me months to finally decide to close this chapter of my life. Chic Essentials was something I built from the ground up and had been a huge part of my life for more than five years. Even before opening the physical store, I had already been selling online for 10 years since I was still a student.
And to be honest, the rise of different online shopping platforms gradually affected my sales. I'm sure many boutique owners can relate.😔😔😔
As a Tinderella in the real world, life doesn't always have a happy ending. Being a teacher, a mom, and a small business owner all at the same time was never easy. I thought I could do it all, but eventually, my health and mental well-being began to suffer.Selling clothes brought me so much joy. I loved everything about it; from sorting items, arranging displays, and taking photos. It was something I genuinely loved doing. But over time, it became a source of stress and triggered my anxiety.(The weight of motherhood and responsibility is not a joke.🫥)
As a postpartum mom, I struggled to stay focused. There were nights when I cried silently, carrying worries I rarely shared with anyone. 🥹 Maybe I became good at hiding my struggles behind smiles and laughter because life goes on, and responsibilities don't stop. 😔
Eventually, I realized I couldn't keep pouring from an empty cup. I needed to show up fully at work, and more importantly, my child needed me.
So on March 31, I officially closed my shop and chose to focus on motherhood and my teaching profession.
Am I closing completely? NO. 😊
I still have items on hand, and I'll be posting some SUPER BAGSAK-PRESYO items very soon! ✨ For now, Chic essentials will be taking a little break, but we will continue online. 🫶🏻BRB
P.S. Kindly comment your preferred drop-off location for any unclaimed paid orders. We will begin dropping them off next week. Please bear with us as we process everything. We will also message each of you personally.
Thank you for being part of Chic Essentials. 🤍
