Tournament Mechanics:
The Ultimate Pickleball Shuffle Get ready for a week of fast-paced action, strategic d***s, and a whole lot of "random" fun!
Unlike traditional tournaments, we are leveling the playing field by leaving your partner up to fate. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming event.
🏆 1. Categories & Eligibility
To ensure competitive and enjoyable matches, the tournament is divided into two distinct skill levels:
• Novice Category
• Advanced Beginner Category
🎲 2. The "Luck of the Draw" Pairing
Forget bringing your own partner—this tournament is about community and adaptability!
• Pool of Players: Each category consists of 48 individual players.
• The Draw: Before the tournament begins, we will host a live Draw Lots session.
• The Result: Players will be randomly paired to form 24 teams per category. This ensures a fair, exciting environment where you get to meet and compete with someone new!
đź“Š 3. Tournament Structure
Each category (Novice and Advanced Beginner) will follow the same organizational format:
• Brackets: The 24 teams will be divided into 4 Brackets (A, B, C, and D).
• Teams per Bracket: There are 6 teams per bracket.
• Round Robin Phase: Each team will play every other team in their assigned bracket once (5 matches total).
⚔️ 4. Match Rules & Scoring
To keep the tournament moving efficiently, we will use the following scoring format:
1. Format: Standard Pickleball Rules.
2. Game Length: Matches are played to 11 points, in cases that score is tied at 10-10, sudden death will apply.
3. Side Change: Teams will switch sides once a team reaches 6 points.
