Dress length

The maxi-dress is ankle- to floor-length. It’s most usually form-fitting at the top and flowing from the waist down.

The midi-dress is below the knee but above the ankle. Midi is most frequently used to describe a dress that hits mid-calf.

The mini-dress or mini-skirt is above the knee but below mid-thigh.

The micro-mini dress covers the buttocks but is mid-thigh length or shorter.
