Fragrances 101
Collecting Mists and Perfumes is something you get to experiment on, especially it is something personal.
The type of scents may vary to your liking. It can be something musky, floral, fresh, citrusy, elegant or gourmand.
Based on the range of my collection, it tend to be drawn to something fresh, floral and vanilla scents. Even though I love those type of scents, I still get to experiment or combining other scent ranges to male it my own… It then becomes a new scent.
Scent familiarization is a key to layering. Knowing the notes of a mist or perfume must be kept in mind to avoid combining scents notes that contradicts the totality or overall projection of the scent.
I personally segregate the scents so it is easier to distinguish the type of scents. I have four categories:
1. fresh and for everyday use
2. floral, fresh, sweet and powdery
3. fresh, citrusy and gourmand
4. elegant, musky, head-turner, expensive
These categories simply helped me differentiate most of my collection since each one has it distinct characteristic / note. It may me similar to each one on the first spray but it is best to appreciate it once you identified its heart or base scent notes.
Before we do scent combinations and layering, I would like to know which scent between these two Bath & Body Works have you tried and liked: Twinkling Nights or A Thousand Wishes.
