mga sira ulo talaga kapag may pinoy kang kaibigan eh HAHAHAHA
Story time:
So I was just chilling with my Filipino friend, and we stopped by this small roadside stall selling watermelons. Everything was normal at first—the usual “how much is this?” kind of moment.
The vendor calmly says, “150 pesos.”
And I swear, before I could even blink, my friend goes: “75 pesos, deal?”
BRO.
I was SHOCKED. Like… he didn’t even ask if there was a discount. He just straight-up cut the price in half like he was the owner of the stall 😭
I’m standing there thinking, “Wait… do we now decide prices by confidence level??”

The vendor just looked at him for a second… probably rethinking his whole life choices… and somehow still stayed polite.
Meanwhile I’m just there spiritually apologizing for the entire situation.
What made it worse (or better?) is that my friend was SO confident like this was normal business negotiation behavior. Like he truly believed every watermelon has a secret “75 pesos mode” if you ask correctly.
I couldn’t take it anymore… so I just secretly gave the vendor 500 pesos later. Not even for the watermelon anymore just for surviving that negotiation trauma 😭
