Welcome to the Salomon family, Shaundre! 🥳👏
Dr Shaundre Jacobs (aka. Shauny) is a sports science lecturer and researcher at Stellenbosch University. She is also a co-organiser of trail running crew 🏃🏽♀️⛰️
We spoke with Shaundre to find out more about her, and her goals for 2025👇
“The biggest pull towards trial running for me was sense of community and the opportunity to explore nature, which truly feeds my soul.
My focus for this year is on Pass2Pass, George MUT and UTCT. However, beyond personal racing goals, my passion for the year is to introduce more women to trail running. I want to create a safe and welcoming space where women feel empowered to run, explore and experience the joy of the trials.
I’m beyond elated and deeply grateful to have Salomon by my side, because they are a community driven brand that truly supports athletes in exploring, pushing limits and growing the sport. Their gear also gives me the confidence to take on any trail, knowing I have the best possible support under my feet”.
