We couldn’t go anywhere, so we decided to build this tent, which is about 9 or 10 years old. I can’t quite remember, but this was Erin’s tent when she was 3 or 4 years old. I also don’t recall if it was a gift or if I bought it. Ganyan ako kaingat sa mga gamit nila.

Educational Tour 1/?

Since Aki’s lessons are all about Historical Places and Philippine Heroes, we have been wanting them to visit these places so they see them not only on books.

Thank God for the good weather today, we were able to visit The Sentinel of Freedom (Lapu-Lapu Monument) Lapu-Lapu, Rizal Monument in Rizal Park and the National Museum of Natural History.

I promise that I will try my best to bring you to all the historical places in the Philippines. You should know that once, we were a nation of heroes with courage, dignity, and love for our country. We have our heroes who chose to fight for our freedom and chose to be Filipinos rather than ‘BUWAYAS’.

An Open Letter to My Children 🤍

My dear children,

With everything happening around us, especially the heartbreaking incidents at schools, I find myself thinking about you more than ever.

As your mom, I wish I could protect you from every pain, disappointment, and difficult day. But I know I can’t.

So please remember this:
There will be times when you won’t receive an award. You won’t always be at the top of the class. There will be low grades, failures, disappointments, and days when things simply don’t go your way. And that’s okay.

You don’t have to be the smartest. You don’t have to be the best. You don’t have to win all the time.
Your grades will never define you.
Your awards will never define your worth.
And failure will never make you a failure.

Sometimes, losing teaches you how to work harder. Sometimes, waiting teaches you patience. Sometimes, falling teaches you how to stand back up. So don’t grow up feeling like you always have to prove yourself.

Enjoy your childhood.
Laugh. Play. Make friends. Explore. Make mistakes. Create memories. Learn. And most importantly, be kind and be a good person.

Because when I look at you, I don’t see your grades or your awards.
I see my children. And that will always be enough.

Your dad and I will always be here for you—to guide you, support you, listen to you, and hold your hand through every season of life.

If you’re struggling, come to us.
If you fail, come to us.
If you’re scared, come to us.
If you simply need someone to listen, come to us. You will always have a home in us. Because no award, grade, achievement, or success in this world will ever be more important than you being here with us.

I don’t need you to be perfect. I just want you to grow into someone who is kind, strong, humble, patient, and happy. Live fully. Love deeply. Be kind. Enjoy the little things. Tomorrow is never promised.

So while I can still hold your hands, hear your stories, and see your beautiful smiles, I will keep reminding you:
You are loved.
You are enough.
You don’t have to be perfect.
And you are more important to us than anything in this world.
