SAMPAGUITA BLOOMS AT NIGHT
This spellbinding gown resembles the Philippine national flower, Sampaguita, which symbolizes purity, fidelity, humility, strength, and hope. As the legend described the unconditional love of two-person despite the conflict with their tribe, their purest heart stays behind their faith to love each other. This well-crafted gown used manipulative techniques to uncover the undying culture of the Pearl of the Orient, with its modern filipiniana that will captivate your eyes.
Designed by Lanny Liwag
This layout shows how the Sampaguita flower blooms at night, and this sampaguita-inspired national costume by Lanny Liwag derives inspiration from this National Flower of the Philippines. It is a white flower that is believed to symbolize purity, fidelity, and hope. The name Sampaguita was derived from the Filipino words "sumpa kita", which means "I promise you".
