Following Department Order No. 24-1 issued on January 24, 2024, the Go Lokal! Program has been officially integrated into the OTOP Philippines Program under the newly renamed Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP (BMDPO), formerly BDTP. As part of this transition, existing Go Lokal! Stores will gradually be converted into OTOP Philippines Stores, continuing our shared mission to bring proudly local products closer to every Filipino.

Quiddity, founded by sisters Genevieve and Stephanie Go, values the importance of preserving artisanal tradition and handcrafted items. These principles are what guided Genevieve to pursue a scholarship at the Accademia Riaci in Florence, Italy to learn the art of leather bag-making. Genevieve’s penchant for artistic design, combined with Stephanie’s business acumen, gave birth to their brand in 2016.

Quiddity’s leather goods are crafted using Italian vegetable-tanned leather sourced from Tuscany, Italy. The sisters draw inspiration from their travels and artistic inclinations for their bag designs. Functional and stylish, their artisanal bags play with shapes and pyrography that gives a unique yet timeless look.

Married couple Melecio and Marie Oamil believe that knowing your purpose is the key to achieving success and for them, their family is the motivating force that pushes them to create lifestyle works of art.

Mele + Marie was the product of their vision to create minaudière art pieces. Collaborating with local artisans, they told their life stories through creative bag designs using natural materials like tiger abalone and mother of pearl while incorporating industrial elements such as metals and brass.

Their award-winning designs have been featured in Paris and New York Fashion Weeks as well as in international magazine publications such as British Vogue, ELLE, and Design Scene.

Mele + Marie's collection of minaudières and other accessories are available at the Marahuyo by Go Lokal store in LUXE Duty Free Mall, Pasay City until June 30, 2022 so make sure to drop by and check them out!

The past is usually associated with life lessons but for Maria Angelica Bermejo, the past is a valued material in the form of antique jewelry. Her passion for antique collecting began with heirloom porcelain and stoneware that people were willing to part with and from there, her collection extended to jewelry and other salvaged vintage items.

Her shop, Maria Angelica, offers a selection of reimagined heirloom pieces, like Spanish peinetas, pearl pendants, and pre-Hispanic gold jewelry, and retells their origin in a wearable keepsake.

Ms. Bermejo’s selection of heirloom accessories will be available at the Marahuyo by Go Lokal store in LUXE Duty Free Mall, Pasay City until June 30, 2022 so make sure to drop by and check out her unique jewelry pieces!

If there is one word to describe Joyce Makitalo’s jewelry creations, it’s boho-chic. Her designs represent the free-spirited lifestyle tempered with spiritual elements. She draws inspiration from raw and irregularly-shaped gemstones, incorporating ancient symbols and patterns that result in a bold statement piece.

Joyce’s winning entry to the 2008 Guild of Philippine Jewellers’ Design Competition gave her the initiative to start her brand, together with artisans from Bulacan province. Her unconventional accessories have been lauded globally, getting featured in international publications and garnering admirers from Hollywood celebrities such as Katy Perry, Kelly Rowland, Liv Tyler, and Paris Hilton.

Every work of art tells a story and for Malou Romero, her fashion brand, Joanique, speaks for female self-expression. Joanique represents Malou’s creative vision of culturally-inspired handmade accessories, brought to life by her fellow artisan craftsmen.

Using sustainable natural materials such as carabao horn, native wood, and Bagtok fiber, Malou is able to design fashionable pieces with a distinct cultural appeal such as a line of wooden clutch bags inspired by the Masskara Festival in Bacolod and Sterling silver Adlaw earrings with black and white quartz.
