Your FRAGRANCE GUIDE‼️
✨Perfume (Perfume Extract)
Of the four scent categories, perfumes are the most concentrated forms of fragrance. Over-the-counter perfumes (almost all of the recognizable brands) are usually about 40% pure perfume extract.
✨Eau de Parfum (EDP)
Eau de parfum is even more diluted than perfume. There is less perfume oils and more alcohol (EDP is usually around 15-20% perfume oils), and this gives eau de parfum a lighter but still distinct scent.
✨Eau de Toilette (EDT)
Third down the line in terms of concentration is the eau de toilette. EDT is usually in the range of 5-15% perfume oils. Toilettes are usually on the lighter, fresher end of the fragrance spectrum.
✨Eau de Cologne (EDC)
Eau de cologne scents are light, cool and often fruity. With only 7% concentration, the scent doesn’t make a strong statement, making it ideal for younger people who are starting to experiment with perfume or cologne.
✨Eau Fraiche
Eau fraiche scents are similar to EDC in that they are diluted and smell very light and fresh. They’re usually in the range of 2-3%, and they also have less alcohol than the scents discussed above.
