A SCHOOL SHOULD ALWAYS BE A SAFE PLACE. 🕊️
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, teachers, and the entire school community affected by the tragic incident at Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
A place that should be filled with learning, dreams, laughter, and hope has now become a place of grief and fear.
This heartbreaking incident is a reminder that school safety must always be taken seriously. We must continue to protect our students, strengthen campus security, promote responsible firearm ownership, and create an environment where young people feel safe enough to speak when they are struggling.
Let us also be mindful of what we share online. Please do not spread graphic images, videos, or unverified information. Respect the privacy and dignity of those affected and allow their families the space to grieve.
No parent should ever have to fear sending their child to school.
