Orbiting in PEACE
There are nights when I think about how vast space is, how it stretches endlessly, quietly, without asking permission to exist. Stars burn millions of miles away, galaxies move in perfect order, and nothing falls out of place. It all just… holds.
Cancer has a way of doing the opposite. It shrinks life. Suddenly, everything revolves around results, symptoms, waiting rooms, and unanswered questions. The future feels small, fragile, and frightening. Some days, hope feels like something too heavy to carry.
But then I remember this: the same God who holds the universe together is holding me.
If He can keep stars suspended in nothingness, then He is not confused by my pain. If He can command galaxies to move in harmony, then my suffering has not slipped past His attention. Nothing in space is accidental and neither am I.
Outer space is mostly dark, yet it is never empty. Light exists even where darkness seems to rule. In the same way, my faith does not have to be fearless to be real. Hope does not have to be loud. Sometimes it is just a quiet decision to trust God one more day.
The universe keeps expanding, and so does God’s grace. Even when my body feels weak, His mercy does not run out. Even when I cannot see what comes next, He already stands there, waiting.
Cancer may make my world feel smaller for now, but faith lifts my eyes beyond it. Beyond the pain. Beyond the fear. Beyond what medicine can explain. There is a God whose promises are wider than the universe and steadier than the stars.
I am not lost in the vastness.
I am known.
I am held.
By the same hands that hold the stars.
