Mom flamingos lose their pink after birthing and raising their young. After pouring so much of ourselves into raising our littles, moms sometimes feel like we lose our sparkle and identity too. But as I’m walking through my motherhood journey discovering the new me, I like to think of it as that I’ve just been letting my little girl borrow it for awhile, so that she can build her sparkle and identity too. 🎀💗✨

𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧. 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞: 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.

I came across two news stories this week that left me shaken.

In one, a child was pulled from the wreckage—alive, but orphaned. His parents didn’t make it.

In the other, it was the child who didn’t survive. The parents were left behind… with empty arms and a silence no one should ever know.

It’s hard to even put into words what that must feel like. 😭

𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫. 💔

And for what? A few seconds of careless driving? 😭😭😭

These weren’t just headlines. These were families. Lives. Dreams. Futures—gone.

Please, if you’re reading this—𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲.

Because behind the wheel, your choices don’t just affect you. They can destroy someone’s whole world.

Don’t let another child grow up without their parents.
Don’t let another parent bury their baby. 😭😭😭

We can’t bring them back. But we can prevent the next one.
